Thanks very much for sharing.Hope it is not just show timeā¦I truly hope it will be a blessing for all countries and humans involved.Borter Walter, I hope that India will lead the world to bring peace and reduce stress by giving techonology Yoga. Recssion problems must be solved by each country itself. It is customary to say - If you're sick, medcine prescibing to neigbor would not help, you have to take drugs himself.
"The recession has changed the outlook of India in the world and high profile visitors began to visit India in 2010 to find solutions to their problems."India could ride this new-found attention to not only a seat on the Security Council but beyond that to super-power status in the not-too-distant future. Thanks, Gaurav, for reporting on India. ~mogama~Mogami, Thanks for the visit and the comments.True opportunity is available to be superpower . But I doubt India would be superpower in the near future. To become a superpower, a country needs to be aggressive, to renounce the policy of non-aligned countries, India lacks both. Most of India politician is corrupt and the 70% people of India lives in the rural sector, illertate and depend on agriculture. India growth is only for 30%.
I can't see why we cannot all unite as one people throughout the world. Call me a dreamer but I'm not the only one.good article GauravSir, you're not a dreamer, the current situation have no other option
This is fascinating, Gaurav. Everybody is wooing India. International politics are really shifting. I hope it means something positive for the people of India.Jennifer Stewart, your observation is correct, but corrupt politician in India is still block stubling
I did not know that the United States was the one blocking India from being on the Security Council, as it is always stating that India is one of our most important democratic allies. I think it may be time to do away with NATO though as everybody seems to be in it for themselves anyway, and the United States is the one being asked to pay the lions share of the tab. Everybody seems so interested in policing the world, yet once again it is our military and our tax payers that pay a large majority of these operations. I think we need to get our noses out of other people's business and let them figure it out between themselves. Nice article.United States may have blocked India from the security council, but it was the United States who also offered a permanent seat with Veto power to India before the Indo-China war. Our Late Prime Minister Mr. Nehru made the obvious wrong decision on refusing to accept it thinking it may spoil relations with China. Obviously it did, as they decided to attack India the next day. :-) Thank you.David Levitt, I totally agree with your comment about Nato. United States is the one who is asked to pay the lion's share of expenditures of NATO. Perhaps it was formed by the U.S. to get international support for its military bases in the various country considered its alley and internationise its military actions in Vietnam, Iran and Afghanistan.
