Top-level comments on this article: (4 total)This is a bit off the topic, Guarav, but your article made me think of how ludicrous it is that so much money is spent on arms. It's almost like everybody just accepts that it has to be, but it totally doesn't. It's madness!Jennifer Stewart, India is a peace-loving country and does not have the attention of attacking any country. His army and the war-hardware is a major contributor to the United Nations to act as a peace corps wherever necessary.
The construction of the military and the warfare is not madness but self-defense to counter China's warfare with which it has four thousand kilometers of border disputes .
A lot of information for anyone who is interested in what is going on in India.
Amazing of all the money is spent to keep the defense up to date for a single country.I believe many armies around the world are struggling with this entire issue.Unfortunately this leaks a further confirmation of the poor intelligence service by the relevant agency of the United States of America.Walter Borter, Your obsevation is correct many armies around the world, particulaly Muslim world - Iran are struggling to update before any aggression from us arrogance as it did in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Amazing insights gentlemen. Not only is it wonderful to see the viewpoints of ordinary people in different countries around the world, also it is one more very important reason why a free press such as WikiLeaks and the internet is so important to the truth. It allows us to have as citizens of an ever changing and diverse world the opportunity to sift through what is often produced in our separate countries as one sided and often propaganda laden news. We owe a great deal of gratitude to people like the Horst's and other similar venues of open discussion and shared ideas. Thanks for being a part of the dialog guys, and keep up the good work Gaurav, DM, Yosef, and others.David Levitt, Sir, thank you for free and fair comments.
